Chase Utley didn't expect to be traded from the Philadelphia Phillies to the Los Angeles Dodgers when he bought this suburban home near Philadelphia two years ago.
"We started a full top to bottom renovation after we purchased the home. The changes span inside and outside of the property," his wife Jennifer Utley said.
The custom-built stucco exterior home features an open California-style layout for comfortable family living. "Both Chase and I grew up in California, where there's more openness in living spaces. Functionality and comfort are important to us."
The two-acre home sits in a Cul-De-Sac among Gladwyne's grandest estates. The 8,141-square-foot home has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and two partial baths.
Aside from a freshly finished gut-renovation, the private and secluded surroundings is what makes the Utleys reluctant to put the home on the market. "We've lived in and loved the home for two seasons, and we will definitely miss it."
